I am extremely passionate about Indigenous issues, and all facets of Indigenous struggles. I have worked in Treaty Land Entitlement and Specific Lands claims, which allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge of the legal systems for First Nation land claims in Canada. However, this was not the beginning of my introduction to Indigenous politics. I grew up in a home that was surrounded and occupied with people heavily involved in Indigenous politics. I get inspired by successful women, female academicians, female philanthropists and youths that spend their time doing genuine volunteerism at the grassroots level.
I get encouraged when I meet or read about young people who try to be better at what they lay their hands on.
I get touched when I see/read about young people with great visions and dreams. Especially those that aspire to become a voice unto our generation.
